Environmental technology, nature and biodiversity

 

As a means to prevent biodiversity loss and reduce exploitation of natural resources, our research strengthens efforts to protect and restore ecosystems and reduce CO2 emissions. Research efforts to monitor, report, prevent, and remedy pollution from the air, water, soil, and consumer products are focal.

Research areas:

  • Alternatives to pesticides.
  • Conservation of biodiversity in terrestrial, marine, and freshwater systems.
  • Sustainable fisheries.
  • Monitoring the environmental status and conserving biodiversity using new tools and smart solutions (including drones and eDNA).
  • Securing the use of microbes to ensure a good environment and drinking water, sustainable development, resource recycling, and animal and human health.
